Children who do not control the progression of myopia are at extremely high risk of developing eye diseases such as Glaucoma, Retinal Detachment, and AMD as they age.

Low Vision Specialist

Vision loss from macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa, stargardt and other conditions causes massive changes and places a large emotional burden on the patient and family. Dr. Larsen, a Member of IALVS (International Academy of Low Vision Specialists), understands the need to help you maintain as much independence as possible by maximizing the remaining sight that you have.

Dr. Larsen will identify with the patient and often their family the things they most wish to be able to do, and Dr. Larsen will show what optical or digital technology can help you. Examples are driving with bioptic telescopes or reading and playing cards again with telescope glasses.

Dr. Larsen has helped patients from the greater Salt Lake City, Provo, West Valley City, West Jordan, Orem, and Sandy among others.
